About us
The Ascension Fall Festival is a fellowship and fund-raising event of the Ascension Catholic Community in Melbourne.
The annual festival is organized by a committee of volunteers including parishioners of Ascension Catholic Church and parents of children who
attend Ascension Catholic School. The goal of the festival is to provide a fun, family-friendly fellowship event that brings together people from our parish and our school, as well as neighbors in the community.
The festival also serves as a fundraiser to support the Ascension Catholic School, a national Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. In particular, proceeds from the festival provides funds that make a high-quality Catholic education available to any family that wants it for their children and offsets operating costs to keep annual tuition affordable for parish families.
The festival team includes:
John and Kim Kelly
Heidi and John Sayut
Katie and Jay Gander
Kevin and Darlene Hachmeister
Pamela and Steve Gearhart
Frank Eckert
Mary Russo
Eddie Berrios
Hank and Hallie Lanueville
Maria Sittig

Pat Neve Jr.
The committee, however, does not work alone. The event is pulled together with the support of Father Eamon Tobin, Principal Doug Workman, the staff of the parish and the school and hundreds of volunteers each giving time and talent throughout the year and, in particular, over the festival weekend.
